US Equestrian is launching a new event for junior combined driving athletes. The Combined Driving Youth Championship for Single Horses & Ponies will be held for the first time in 2026.

Bid applications to host the championship are now open. The deadline is Nov. 1, 2025. Download the bid application here.

Who Can Compete in Combined Driving Youth Championship

The championship is open to U.S. citizens:

  • Pony drivers: ages 10–18
  • Horse drivers: ages 12–18

Competitors must have completed at least two USEF or FEI competitions at the preliminary level or above within the last three years. This ensures all participants have experience at a competitive level.

  • Level: Preliminary
  • Focus: Single horses & ponies
  • First event: 2026

This championship provides a new opportunity for young drivers to showcase their skills and compete nationally. It is a key stepping stone in a young athlete’s combined driving career.

How to Submit a Bid

Interested hosts can submit applications to Steven Morrissey, Managing Director of Non-Olympic Disciplines.
